  • Nurture teaching talent

The opportunity to build upon the capacity and talent within your school, improving staff recruitment and retention.

  • Gain more teaching time

Apprentices can start on a higher teaching timetable than other ITT trainees (up to 60% of their in-school time, rising to 80% for the last 6 weeks of the training year). Apprentices are not supernumerary, meaning they can teach their own classes from day one.

  • Access training fees funded via levy

Employers benefit from a skilled and motivated workforce, and funding through the apprentice levy.
