Promoting Apprenticeships with New Course Launch

Promoting Apprenticeships with New Course Launch
Feb 10
As National Apprenticeship Week begins, we are offering schools across Yorkshire, the Humber, and the North East a new opportunity to develop talent and build loyalty through our Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship (PGTA) programme.

The Exchange Partnership (TEP) has been the voice of education expertise and exchange since our inception. As a trusted and diverse community of educators, we are committed to enabling a high-quality education for every child. We keep our finger on the pulse of teacher education and, in response to demand, have expanded our offering to include a PGTA programme.

Apprenticeships provide an excellent opportunity for schools to develop new talent, offering skill development, practical experience, and valuable classroom support for teaching staff.

We value apprenticeship programmes and take pride in supporting apprentices on their professional journeys. From our head office, we explore the experiences of two valued apprentices: Maddison, undertaking a Multi-Channel Marketing apprenticeship, and Jade, completing a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship experience – personal and professional growth

Maddison's apprenticeship journey has been a transformative experience, not only professionally but also personally. As a former student of De Lacy Academy and New College Pontefract—both part of our partnership—Maddison’s journey is particularly special. We are dedicated to ‘growing our own’ and investing in the future of our student alumni. When she joined us, she was eager to learn, but she admits that she had little confidence in her abilities. Fast forward to today, and the difference is significant with her blooming confidence is visible in both her professional and personal life.

"The support and encouragement from my colleagues have helped me grow beyond what I thought was possible," Maddison shares. "It’s amazing how much of a difference a positive work environment can make.”

The power of apprenticeships at any stage of life

Apprenticeships provide valuable opportunities not only for school and college leavers but also for those looking to change careers or progress professionally. Jade is also on her own journey as an apprentice with us, demonstrating the diverse pathways apprenticeships can offer.

"An apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to both study and earn while pursuing a new career. Transitioning from my previous role to a challenging new career has been both exciting and fulfilling. The process of learning new skills has been incredibly rewarding and the support I have received throughout my apprenticeship has been exceptional. I look forward to seeing where my new qualification will take me and the future opportunities it unlocks."

Both Jade and Maddison's experiences showcase the wide-reaching benefits of apprenticeships. They not only provide hands-on experience but also foster confidence, professional growth, and long-lasting relationships. As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, it’s clear that apprenticeships have the power to change lives—and your school can enable that for many!
